MTÜ Ukraina Nimel was founded in 2023 to help Ukrainian defenders in their fight against Russian invasion, harnessing the overwhelming support of Ukraine from Estonian society.
It all started with one sms of soldier who joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces as a civilian. It was a friend of Viktoriia Moiseienkova, current director of MTÜ Ukraina Nimel. He asked her to buy a pair of special military gloves in Estonia, as everything of this kind was wiped out in Ukraine when the invasion had just started. 
The activity gradually reached a much larger scale and grew into a nonprofit, with MTÜ Ukraina Nimel currently working directly with the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade "Kholodnyi Yar” – one of the most efficient brigades in Ukraine who constantly fight in the hottest spots of the frontline. While the focus remains on the 93rd brigade, our help also goes to some other units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, like 10th Mountain Assault Brigade "Edelweiss", the 24th Mechanized Brigade, and few others.
