Mobile sauna for 93rd Brigade: ≈5,000 €
It all started when a Ukrainian soldier in the Bakhmut area caught a nasty cold and told us how nice it would be to have some place with hot water - unfortunately a huge scarcity on the frontlines. Fast-forward several months and here we are - on the Polish border answering questions from the bewildered border guards who don't get immediately what this huge structure is supposed to do. Along us is the sauna itself, converted from the fishery truck by the witty Estonian engineers with golden hands and kind hearts.
The sauna continues to serve nearly 120 Ukrainian defenders, providing them with the most basic need that makes you feel human in the harsh scenery of blood, dirt, and exhaustion - being clean and fresh.
